« Brodon à Paris »
“Nicolas Brodon”: The founder of a dynasty of clockmakers in Paris that was active from the late 17th century until the reign of Louis XVI, Nicolas Brodon was one of the finest horologists of the Louis XIV period. A juré (juror) of the guild for four years – from 1674 to 1682, his workshop appears to have eventually been taken over by his son Gilles-Nicolas.
