Rare Precision Regulator Mantel Clock

Height 60 cm; width 33 cm; depth 24.5 cm

The main ring dial has Arabic seconds, indicated by a blued steel seconds hand; a second eccentric dial indicates the Roman numeral hours and the graduated minutes by means of blued steel Breguet hands. The clock strikes the hours and half hours. The architectural case, in the form of an antique temple, has glazed sides. It is veneered in amaranth wood with lemonwood filets; there is a protruding dentilled cornice and lateral pillars with moulded bases and capitals. The quadrangular base with curved moulding is in light-coloured wood; the whole is raised upon a plinth resting on square feet.
