Faisant à Paris (also Faizant, Faisan et Faizan)
Little is known about this clockmaker, who is recorded in 1806 in the rue St Denis in Paris. Active from the late 18th century to the early decades of the following century, according to Tardy his name appears on the dials of a lyre clock and a floor regulator. (Tardy, Dictionnaire des horlogers français, Paris, 1971, p. 220). He also signed two clocks mentioned in December 1815, in the probate inventory of the Napoleonic Marshal Michel Ney, Duke of Elchingen and Prince of Moskowa.
