Simon Roy
One of the finest Parisian clockmakers of the last quarter of the 18th century. After becoming a master in 1787he opened a workshop in the rue Saint-Honoré and quickly gained renown amongst collectors of fine horology. During the Revolutionary period he delivered three clocks to the Paris Assemblée électorale (see Tardy, Dictionnaire des horlogers, Paris, 1971, p. 578).
